UZ transported more than 500 wagons of grain at a preferential rate

Starting from June 5, JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” sent more than 500 wagons with agricultural products for export at a preferential tariff.

Starting from June 5, Ukrzaliznytsia sent 517 wagons with grain for export at a preferential rate. This is reported by Rail.insider.

Export cargoes have already been sent from 22 stations. Also, 17 fitting platforms were involved in transportation.

We remind you that the discount on export transportation of agricultural products reaches 30%. The provision of a discount is provided for by Cabinet Resolution No. 581 dated May 17, 2024 from areas close to hostilities or occupied territories. The preferential tariff applies to departures from 242 stations. A mandatory condition for applying the discount is the shipment of agricultural products in an export package (to a border station or a port railway station with an export code).

As USM recently wrote, minimum export prices for grain will be determined in Ukraine every month.
