UZ will limit the transportation of grain to Hungary
JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” will temporarily prohibit the transportation of grain cargoes to Hungary.
The company has published a convention for the transportation of grain cargoes to Hungary through the Batyovo station, reports Rail.insider.
The ban will enter into force on December 24 and will be in effect “until canceled.” The convention applies to all types of wagons for all recipients.
The implementation of the convention is connected with the difficult situation at the Batyovo-Epereshka crossing. Currently, 4,600 wagons are heading there, half of which are loaded with grain.
According to Valery Tkachov, Deputy Director of the Department of Commercial Work of UZ, the crossing of Batyovo-Epereshka is currently the most problematic for grain growers. The waiting time at the border there is almost 20 days.
