Video of the day: the military defused a mine that was brought to the coast

A mine discovered in the Black Sea was washed ashore. At first, the military tried to destroy it with small arms.

The video of the destruction of the drifting mine was published on the Facebook page of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Attempts were made to defuse the explosive device remotely with small arms, hits were recorded, but the mine did not detonate.

“That’s why it was decided to pull her to a safe place with our own hands, which was done with careful consideration of the conditions of the situation (period and height of waves, speed of movement of personnel, etc.). After examination of the mine, it became clear that its further transportation is dangerous and it must be destroyed on the spot. The mine was destroyed by detonation,” the Navy reported.
