Violation of sanctions: a ship from Russia was detained in a German port

German customs detained the cargo ship Atlantic Navigator II in the port of Rostock on suspicion of violating sanctions against the Russian Federation.

Currently, the Atlantic Navigator II has been banned from leaving the port of Rostock, Süddeutsche Zeitung writes.

Goods that were subject to EU sanctions were discovered on board the vessel.

It is known that the ship under the flag of the Marshall Islands entered the port of Rostock for repairs on March 4 due to technical problems with the propeller.
