Water salinity on the coast of Odesa is almost three times lower than normal


On the coast of Odesa region, biologists recorded a significant decrease in water salinity.

During the sea water test on June 10, experts recorded another negative consequence of the terrorist attack at the Kakhovska HPP. So, on some beaches of Odessa, the salinity of sea water is almost three times less than the norm. This was reported in the State Environmental Inspection of the South-Western District.

Also, according to the results of laboratory studies, a large amount of iron and suspended substances were found in the water. In particular, on the Nova Dofinivka beach (berth 243), the level of iron exceeds the norm by 9 times.
