Without russian federation the inspections of ships near Istanbul sped up several times

The UN and Turkey increased the number of inspection teams to 10. Thanks to this, the Joint Coordination Center in Istanbul inspected 46 vessels in a day.

The queue of vessels in the Bosphorus waiting for inspection has shrunk to 147 vessels for both exit and entry, the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reported.

“During the 3 months of implementation of the “Grain Initiative”, 422 ships exported almost 10 million tons of agricultural products. This volume could be 30-40% higher if russian federation did not block inspections in the Bosphorus. This amount could be 30-40% more if russian federation did not block inspections in the Bosphorus,” the MIU emphasized.

The head of the Monitoring Group of the Institute of Strategic Studies Andrii Klymenko also confirmed the acceleration of inspections. According to him, the danger to shipping caused by the artificial strait in the Sea of Marmara is “diminishing before our eyes.”

“The Turkish and UN inspectors did a good job – all these ships (pictured below) with Ukrainian grain, which are going right now to the Canakkale Strait and further into the Mediterranean Sea, were waiting for this moment until 21-22 days due to the sabotage of the russian inspectors,” — added Klymenko.
