Witkoff: Talks in Saudi Arabia will affect ceasefire in the Black Sea

According to Steve Witkoff, the special envoy of the US President, the talks between Russia and the United States will affect the situation in the Black Sea.

He said this in an interview with Fox News, Ukrinform reports.

“I think that on Monday you will see real progress in Saudi Arabia, especially in what concerns the Black Sea, in particular the ceasefire on ships between the two countries,” Witkoff commented.

He is also confident that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants peace.

“I feel that he (Putin – ed.) wants peace,” said the special envoy of the US President.

On Sunday, March 23, talks were held in Saudi Arabia between the Ukrainian and American delegations.

Today, March 24, talks between the US and Russian delegations are to take place. As of 12:00, the Russian delegation has already arrived at the venue of the talks in Riyadh.

Earlier, USM reported that the Central Bank commented on the statements about the Odesa port in the negotiations between Trump and Putin.
