Zelenskyy discussed the extension of the Grain Agreement with the President of South Africa

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa.

During the conversation, it was about the preparation for the peace summit and the necessary diplomatic steps to consolidate the support of Ukraine by African countries. The parties also discussed the continuation of the Grain Agreement.

Zelenskyy emphasized that the continuation of the “grain corridor” is important, and also invited the Republic of South Africa to join the GrainFromUkraine initiative.

We will remind, Cyril Ramaphosa and a number of leaders of African countries came to Ukraine last month. Then Ramaphosa’s visit took place within the framework of the so-called African peacekeeping mission.

The African delegation brought its proposals for “peace”, including the withdrawal of Russian troops, the non-deployment of tactical nuclear weapons from Belarus, the suspension of the International Criminal Court’s warrant for Putin’s arrest, and the easing of sanctions.
