Zelenskyy imposed sanctions against 56 sea vessels involved in the theft of Ukrainian grain

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has implemented the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) to impose new sanctions against 56 sea vessels.

This became known from the relevant decree.

It is noted that in 2022-2025, these vessels illegally entered the ports of Ukraine temporarily occupied by Russia and exported Ukrainian food products.

Among them are vessels that loaded thousands of tons of stolen Ukrainian wheat, sunflower seeds and other food products in the closed ports of Sevastopol and Feodosia temporarily occupied by Russia and exported abroad.

In addition, a significant part of the vessels is already under sanctions from other countries, in particular the European Union, the USA and Switzerland. The vessels used flags not only of the Russian Federation: 17 of them sailed under the flags of other countries.

The Office of the President added that Ukraine will work with the relevant states to stop issuing licenses.

Earlier, US sanctions against Rosneft and Lukoil came into effect.
