Zelenskyy imposed sanctions against the largest LNG producer and exporter in Russia

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has imposed sanctions against the largest producer and exporter of liquefied gas in Russia.
This was reported by the “Business Censor” with reference to Decree No. 268/2025 of May 1, according to which sanctions were imposed against 6 individuals and 36 legal entities.
A full package of sanctions was imposed against them, including deprivation of state awards of Ukraine and other distinctions, blocking of assets, termination of trade operations, termination of trade agreements, etc.
In particular, the NSDC sanctions included PJSC Novatek of Russian billionaire Leonid Mikhelson and its subsidiaries: Novatek-Energo, Novatek-Ust-Luga, Arktik LNG 1, Arktik LNG 2, Arktik LNG 3, Murmansk LNG, Yamal LNG, Arctic Transshipment and others.
Some of these companies were previously subject to United States sanctions.
According to President Zelensky, the sanctions package included companies that supply the Russian military-industrial complex.
USM previously reported that the EU is considering banning new contracts for the supply of Russian LNG.
