Zelenskyy: more than 1.5 million tons of agricultural products are stored in the Port of Pivdennyi
All the maritime countries of the world now see what could threaten their ports and water areas if Russia gets away with blocking navigation in the Black Sea.
This opinion was shared by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a video message.
“I will give only one example. Currently, of the three ports that were agreed upon as part of the Black Sea Grain Initiative, the Southern port is actually blocked,” Zelenskyy noted. In addition, more than one and a half million tons of agricultural products have been accumulated in the port.
According to Zelensky, at least ten countries of the world are waiting for this grain, including Turkey, Egypt, Bangladesh, and China. As the president noted, blocking one port in Ukraine creates extremely serious risks for various nations, and for those with whom the Russian Federation is trying to speculate.
The President thanked everyone who helps Ukraine to increase the security space in the Black Sea and puts pressure on the Russian Federation to unblock food supplies. He also informed that during his working trip to Odesa, he held a meeting on the development of Ukrainian port infrastructure.
