Zelenskyy visited the Zmiinyi Island

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Zmiinyi Island, honored Ukrainian heroes and thanked everyone who has been fighting Russian aggression for 500 days.

“Today we are on Zmiinyi, on our Zmiinyi, which will never be conquered by the occupier, like the whole of Ukraine. Because we are a country of the brave. Today we honored our Ukrainian heroes, all the soldiers who fought for this island, who liberated it. And even though this is a small piece of land in the middle of our Black Sea, it is a great proof that Ukraine will regain every part of its territory,” Zelenskyy said.

The president thanked the Armed Forces, intelligence, border guards, the National Guard, the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Police, liaison officers and the people — everyone “who fights for Ukraine,” the president noted. Zelensky also left an inscription on the signpost of the island

We will remind you that the Ukrainian defense forces liberated the Zmiinyi Island from the Russian invaders on June 30, 2022.
