Russians attacked Ukraine with Kalibr missiles

At night, the Russians attacked the territory of Ukraine with sea- and air-based cruise missiles.
Around 10:00 p.m. on May 8, the enemy launched eight Kalibr cruise missiles from launchers in the Black Sea, the General Staff of the Armed Forces reported.
The rockets were aimed at the eastern regions of the country. The air defense forces and means of the Air Command “East” destroyed all eight missiles.
In addition, closer to 04:00 a.m. on May 9, the Russians launched 17 Kh-101/Kh-555 air-based cruise missiles from strategic aircraft — four Tu-95ms (Caspian region).
With the help of anti-aircraft defense, 14 cruise missiles were destroyed, another one was destroyed in the area of responsibility of the “Southern” air command. A total of 15 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles were destroyed.
In total, during two waves of shelling of Ukraine on the night of May 9, 2023, Russian troops launched 25 Kalibr and X-101/X-555 cruise missiles. 23 of them were destroyed.
