In the United States, the Russian Federation was reprimanded for the Grain Agreement
The USA welcomed the continuation of the “grain corridor”. The Russian Federation was also reproached for the fact that the aggressor country uses hunger as a weapon.
The USA welcomed the statement of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the extension of the Black Sea Grain Initiative for another two months, writes European Pravda .
“We welcome President Erdoğan’s statement on the continuation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative. As we have said before, we strongly support the efforts of the UN and Turkey for an agreement that keeps global food and grain prices at a low level,” US State Department Deputy Spokesman Vedant Patel said at a briefing.

Patel also recalled the words of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. The latter emphasized that the West does not need to remind Russia every few weeks “to fulfill its promises and stop using hunger as a weapon in the war against Ukraine.”
According to him, the world needs the Grain Agreement, as well as an end to the war launched by Russia against Ukraine. This would allow farmers to return to their fields, stabilize agricultural exports, and rapidly and significantly improve global food security.
As previously reported by USM, Turkey announced that the Russian Federation agreed not to prevent the departure of Turkish vessels from the ports of the Mykolaiv region.
