Vysotskyi: the agricultural sector of Ukraine will lose another 10% this year

Agricultural production in Ukraine will decrease by 10% in 2023. Last year, losses amounted to almost 30%.

The Ukrainian agricultural sector has shown that it can quickly adapt to work in war conditions, even despite the loss of production, said the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotskyi

According to him, during the last weeks, the issue of preserving the export of Ukrainian products has been important. He emphasized that due to limitations in the operation of the grain corridor, Ukraine exports more agricultural products to the EU.

Taras Vysotskyi reported on exports and losses of the agricultural sector of Ukraine during a discussion with representatives of French business in Kyiv. In general, the parties discussed the stability of the Ukrainian agricultural sector in war conditions, the issue of finding new logistics routes, work and agreements regarding the grain corridor, the vision and strategy of the integration of EU norms for Ukrainian agricultural producers and other issues.
