Ships of the Russian Navy began transporting cars through the Kerch Strait.
Russian amphibious ships are now engaged in the transportation of civilian transport, reports rosZMI with reference to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Thus, on July 11, amphibious ship “Olenegorsky miner” made the first flight from the port of Kavkaz to the occupied Crimea.
In addition, amphibious ship “Kaliningrad” participates in transportation.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that ship crews work together with passenger ships on the Kerch crossing 24 hours a day. Each amphibious ship can take on board up to 40 cars.
The ships were used to unload the Crimea bridge from the Krasnodar region before the peak of the holiday season, in case of a large accumulation of traffic in the direction of the occupied Crimea.
We will remind, in Russia it was proposed to take tourists to Crimea on amphibious ships, or through other occupied territories of Ukraine.
A multi-kilometer traffic jam occurred near the bridge on July 1. On July 3, the length of the traffic jam was 13 km. The head of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation Vitaliy Saveliev said that the peak load on the bridge is expected on July 16-17.
Previously, USM reported that in the Sea of Azov, the Russians are using amphibious ships to transport civilian cars, with which they hoped not so long ago to escalade Odesa.
