The USA introduced new sanctions against 14 Russian vessels
The US expanded sanctions against Russian companies and individuals. The updated list includes 95 Russian companies and 18 individuals, as well as 14 vessels.
In particular, sanctions were imposed against 14 vessels belonging to OJSC Sakhalin Sea Shipping. The updated lists of sanctions were published by the US Treasury Department on July 20.
In addition to shipping, the following were sanctioned: First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation Pavlo Sorokin, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development Ilya Torosov, First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia Vasyl Osmakov, First Deputy Minister of Finance Leonid Gornin, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Economic Development Oleksiy Khersontsev and others.
New US economic sanctions were introduced against Russian companies that work or have worked in the defense and related sectors of the Russian economy.
Legal entities added to the list of sanctions include research institutes, enterprises of the military-industrial complex, equipment manufacturers and service providers in the oil and gas industry, as well as banks, including Tinkoff, Loko-bank and Solidarity.
