Explosions in the port of Novorossiysk: an attack by naval drones is reported

In Novorossiysk early in the morning on Friday, August 4, explosions and sounds of gunfire were heard in the harbor area.

Previously, the cause of the explosions was an attack by “unknown sea drones”, reports RBC-Ukraine with reference to local Telegram channels.

The sounds of explosions rang out from the Black Sea side, after which there was shooting, several rounds were heard. Water explosions and gunfire were heard in the Myshako area. It is also reported that the boat fired at the surface drone.

According to local residents, the drone burst into flames, followed by a loud explosion. The local authorities have not yet commented on the incident.

As Serhiy Bratchuk, the head of the public council under the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported, earlier, something hit the so-called “oil beacon” in Novorossiysk. This is a remote system for receiving oil in the sea, located several kilometers from the coast.
