Representatives of Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Romania consider it necessary to extend the ban on grain imports until the end of the year.
“We have developed a common position that we will present at the next Council. This position has three main points, the main of which is the extension until the end of the year of the ban on the import of grain to five front-line countries,” said the Minister of Agriculture of Poland, Robert Telush.
The minister said that the other two items relate to subsidizing grain transit and increasing the flexibility of the list of goods that cannot be imported for individual countries.
In addition, as Interfax-Ukraine writes, the Polish minister informed that the coalition of frontline countries supports the idea of subsidizing the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products.
“This is a good direction that helps to create “corridors of solidarity”. But we want the payment to be progressive, that is, depending on where the grain is sent,” he explained.
At the same time, according to Telush, the European Commission agrees to subsidize transit
