Freight rates on the Danube are gradually increasing

Freight rates for the transportation of agricultural products by fire from the Danube ports have somewhat increased.

As of August 31, freight rates for bonfires from Danube ports have slightly increased. At the same time, the activity of the freight market still remains limited, Atria Brokers analysts report.

Thus, rates for the transportation of 6,000 tons of corn by coasters from the ports of Reni and Izmail to the east coast of Italy increased by 1-2 USD/t to 61-65 USD/t.

The maximum rates to the Mediterranean ports increased by 2 USD/t to 62 USD/t, while the minimum rates remained at the level of last week–58 USD/t.

Maximum rates to Marmara (Turkey) and Spain increased by USD 1/t to USD 46 and USD 73/t, respectively. Instead, the minimum rates remained at the previous level — 45 USD/t and 68 USD/t.

Freight rates to the island of Crete have also not changed and are at the level of 53-55 USD/t.
