In Poland, they believe that the negotiations with Ukraine regarding the import of agricultural products are finally going in the “right direction”.
Discussions regarding the supply of Ukrainian grain to Poland are moving in a “good direction” after the parties “quieted certain emotions,” Polish Agriculture Minister Robert Telus said, CNN reports.
“I am glad that we had this meeting. I am glad that we are talking about the future, that we are building mechanisms for the future and we are calming certain emotions that, as you all know, have not served us, and this is probably a good direction,” Telus said at a press conference after meeting with the Ukrainian colleague Mykola Solsky.
Minister of Agricultural Policy Solskyi will speak with the Minister of Economy of Ukraine regarding the withdrawal of the complaint against Poland in the World Trade Organization.
Telus also said that negotiations with Lithuania regarding the organization of transit of Ukrainian grain to the country’s ports are currently at the final stage. Solsky proposed similar measures for Germany as a transit point.
