The vessel insurance mechanism in the Black Sea will be operational in the near future

In the next 2 weeks, the vessel insurance mechanism in the Ukrainian maritime corridor should become operational.
The business confirmed its readiness to create an insurance pool and an insurance fund, which Ukraine should join with financial guarantees. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Reconstruction Yuriy Vaskov
Over time, leading British insurance companies will join this pool. Such a combination of companies enables insurers to provide shipowners with a tariff of no more than 1.25%.
The mechanism of special ship insurance, announced by the government, will start working within two weeks. The very issue of sufficient provision of insurance risks was discussed even before the launch of the Ukrainian maritime corridor.
