Maritime drones have significantly changed the situation in the Black Sea

Currently, Russian ships cannot feel free in the western and southwestern part of the Black Sea.

The successful operation of Ukrainian naval drones against enemy ships and infrastructure has radically changed the situation in the Black Sea. This was stated by the spokesman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Captain 3rd rank Dmytro Pletenchuk, “Army Inform” reports.

“In principle, seeing them (ed.: Russian ships) even south of Crimea is already a rarity. The situation has changed, the schedule has changed thanks to the work of Ukrainian naval drones in the first place,” Pletenchuk claims.

If earlier the ships of the invaders felt free in the western and southwestern part of the Black Sea, now this is not the case.

The spokesman compared the number of warheads of the Sea Baby surface drone with Russian “Kalibr” missiles and S-300 systems. Yes, the missile from the S-300 complex has a warhead of 150 kg, and when it arrives, the hole is more than 10 meters in diameter. The enemy caliber missile has a warhead of 450 kg and destroys a building. Instead, Ukrainian naval drones carry 850 kg of explosives, which can be compared to two “Kalibrs”.

“It turns out like two “Kalibrs” here. This is a very powerful weapon. And, accordingly, a threat to the ship, which is calculated on the fact that it will be hit. It still exceeds even an anti-ship missile,” said the spokesman.

Earlier, Ukraine announced the first fundraising of SBU Sea Baby sea drones. The purpose of the collection is to collect UAH 297.5 million for 35 boats that destroy the Russian fleet.

Five kamikaze drones will be named by Monobank.
