In the Odesa region, Russian troops struck a ship flying the flag of Palau. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this on Facebook.
According to him, Russia attacked Ukrainian regions all night and morning on September 28. In addition to the strike on the ship, residential buildings were hit in the Odesa region.
Details of the attack on the ship — its type, the circumstances of the strike, and the condition of the crew — are not yet reported.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the summer of 2026 alone, Russia attacked more than 50 ships, about 30 sailors died. Ships flying the flags of Panama, Togo, the Marshall Islands, Liberia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and other states were attacked.
