Deripaska’s Mykolaiv Alumina Plant was transferred to state management

The Mykolaiv Alumina Plant of Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska was transferred to the management of the State Property Fund.

The nationalization of another asset of Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska has been completed. The sole founder of the enterprise is now the State Property Fund of Ukraine.

According to the head of the State Property Fund Vitalii Koval, the successful Ukrainian realization of sanctioned assets is a vivid example and incentive for speeding up the confiscation and sale of Russian property abroad. It is important to sell the confiscated property and direct the funds to support and restore Ukraine — this is fair.

Russian oligarch Deripaska controlled the Mykolaiv alumina plant since the 2000s. The enterprise is one of the largest in Europe of non-ferrous metallurgy, which, starting from 2022, did not work.

Previously, USM reported that the Mykolaiv Alumina Plant is preparing to resume work.
