A Russian fishing trawler was mistakenly hit by a missile of the Russian Navy.

The trawler “Captain Lobanov” caught fire after it was mistakenly hit by a Navy missile. This was reported to rosZMI by a relative of one of the ship’s crew members.

On March 19, a missile fired during exercises of the Baltic Fleet of the Russian Federation hit the trawler.

According to the interlocutor of rosZMI, as a result of the impact, three crew members were killed, and four more were injured. The rocket allegedly fell on the captain’s wheelhouse.

“When the survivors were taken away, everyone knew very well that three people had died. And everyone knew very well that the rocket hit. But they decided to write that there was a fire. I wonder what the fire was like, if the captain’s cabin is completely gone, it was simply demolished,” said a relative.

The informant also claims that the victims were interrogated in the hospital by FSB officers who asked the crew members not to talk about the incident. He added that another rocket fell into fishing nets near the industrial vessel of the MRTK company, which was located near the trawler “Captain Lobanov”.

We will remind, on March 19, the authorities of the Kaliningrad region reported that a fire broke out on board the fishing trawler “Captain Lobanov”, as a result of which one person died and four others were injured. Dmytro Lyskov, the head of the press service of the regional government, said that the fire occurred “as a result of an emergency situation on board.” Lyskov claimed that the trawler had not sunk, it was being towed to the port.

USM previously reported that a container ship overturned three large port cranes in one of the Turkish seaports.
