Ukrainian flags were raised on new boats of the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

On the occasion of inclusion in the national fleet of Ukraine, the naval flags of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were raised on the boats “Irpin” and “Reni”, the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

“The names of boats Р01 Roland and РО2 Risto were assigned by order of the Armed Forces Navy Command in honor of the Hero City of Irpin and the city of Reni, the port of which is the closest to the Republic of Estonia,” the message reads.

Now they are officially in service and will perform combat tasks, including the protection of civil shipping.

It is known that both boats were adopted by the Estonian Navy in 2020. They were built by Baltic Workboats (BWB).

They are armed with two large-caliber 12.7 mm machine guns and a remote-controlled FN Sea deFNder combat station (12.7 mm).

It will be recalled that Estonia handed over patrol boats to Ukraine at the end of April this year.
