Ukraine is increasing the volume of exports by railway


In May, Ukrainian exporters began to use road transport and railway more to deliver goods to foreign markets.

In May, nearly 3.3 million tons of grain cargoes were exported by rail. This was reported by the representative of the UZ Valery Tkachev, Rail.insider writes .

In total, during May, 3.281 million tons of grain were transported for export by rail transport. This is 10% higher than in April and 186% more than in May 2023.

Also, Ukraine began to send more goods for export by road transport. The physical volume of shipments to foreign markets by road transport increased by 10.7% to 893.3 thousand tons.

The volume of goods exported by sea decreased by 1 million tons — to 8.5 million tons of goods.

As USM recently wrote, the total cargo turnover in the ports of Ukraine for January-May amounted to 45.8 million tons.
