Kernel employs 90 veterans

The Ukrainian agricultural holding Kernel has placed 90 veterans, whom it is adapting to civilian life.

Kernel started working with veterans back in 2014, Human Resources Director Nataliya Teryakhina told Veteran Hub’s Praktyka podcast.

At that time, the program was focused on psychological support. If necessary, the agricultural holding also converted workplaces and housing for wounded veterans.

Since 2022, Kernel has focused on work with inclusion. The company’s adaptation system fully provides an environment for a returning veteran, the spokeswoman said.

“We introduced training for the team, management and HR, so that everyone had a common understanding and a systematic approach to involvement in the program. We provide veterans with support and consultations from a professional military psychotherapist, physical health diagnosis and provision of supplements, treatment and physical rehabilitation, legal assistance, as well as informational and psychological support for wives and family members,” commented Nataliya Teryakhina.

Previously, USM reported that the Ukrainian agricultural holding Kernel uses artificial intelligence to predict the phases of grain crop development. This is the agricultural holding’s own development, which provides an opportunity to more accurately plan plant protection and optimize the load on equipment.
