At the end of the summer, Ukraine will launch a grain theft detection system

In Ukraine and Britain, they are already completing the formation of a comparative database of samples of Ukrainian agricultural products.

This is reported by the Committee of Agrarian Policy.

“The new system is based on high-precision laboratory analysis and comparison of grain samples, which will allow establishing its origin with regional precision. The formation of a comparative database of grain samples from different regions of Ukraine is being completed, which will allow them to be compared with samples taken from ships,” the message reads.

The launch of the system is expected in August or early autumn 2024.

It should be noted that if laboratory analyzes confirm that the grain on the ship was stolen from the occupied territories of Ukraine, this may become a basis for legal action against the owners and carriers.

As a reminder, Ukraine and Great Britain are developing a system to accurately determine the origin of grain exported by the Russian Federation. This will help identify the facts of theft of agricultural products.
