Two Ukrzaliznytsia ferries will become the property of the State Property Fund

JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” plans to transfer two of its own ferries to the State Property Fund of Ukraine – the government’s decision is currently awaited.

It should be noted that UZ received two ferries – “Heroes of Plevna” and “Heroes of Shipka” as an asset in 2015. Before that, the ship was leased in Ukraine by the Ukrferry company.

Now, as CTS reports with reference to its own sources, the ferries will become the property of State Property Fund. The agencies will receive the vessels together with the equipment and all the components necessary for their operation.

In addition, currently the UZ is waiting for the adoption of the relevant order by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. What the State Property Fund will do with the ferries in the future is currently unknown.

Previously, USM also reported that Ukrzaliznytsia can make logistics on the Danube more efficient.
