A Russian tanker was spotted near the Norwegian gas pipeline
The Russian tanker “Vladimir Rusanov” has been sailing along the western coast of Norway, where the gas pipeline is located, for the past week.
As Fjordenes Tidene, Fjordenes Tidene writes, the tanker is drifting along the pipeline that leads to the Ormen Lange gas condensate field in the Norwegian Sea. It is also worth noting that the tanker is not in the zone of the radar station system along the coast of Norway, which is used jointly with NATO by the Norwegian Armed Forces.
In general, “Vladimir Rusanov” passed from the Norwegian area of Serlann to Trennelag and passed close to the coast along the whole of western Norway. Murmansk is declared as the end point of his journey.
Note that this is not the first example of Russia’s suspicious actions near the shores of Northern European states. Earlier, we reported that Russian nuclear submarines had fired shots near Norway.
