The export of Ukrainian grain through Constanta has almost halved

In the first half of 2024, the export of grain from Ukraine via Constanta fell against the background of increased volumes of transshipment in Ukrainian ports.

In the first half of 2024, the export of grain from Ukraine through the Romanian port of Constanta fell by 43.5%, compared to the same period last year. Marine Link writes about it.

Currently, this figure is approximately 4.24 million metric tons. The decrease in transshipment volume in Constanta was preceded by an increase in exports through the ports of Great Odesa.

Data from Constanta show that 380,000 tons of Ukrainian grain were shipped from the port in July.

Previously, USM wrote that the volume of grain shipments to Romania increased by more than 60%.
