Grain transportation from the Vadul-Siret terminal to Constanta has become cheaper by 40%

The Ukrainian operator of the Vadul-Syret terminal explained that the company was able to find mutually beneficial solutions in cooperation with the Romanian side.

The Alebor Group has significantly reduced the cost of transporting grain to the port of Constanta. Oleksiy Tsurkan, General Director of the Elevator Division of the Group, said this in a comment for Elevatorist.

The fact is that grain prices in the port of Constanta are somewhat higher than in the ports of Odessa, and logistics to Constanta are more expensive. Despite this, the company found “mutually beneficial solutions in cooperation with the Romanian side.” Yes, just a year ago, grain delivery from the Vadul-Siret terminal cost $48 per ton, and now it costs only $29 per ton.

What kind of agreements the Ukrainian and Romanian companies have concluded has not been announced at this time.

Also, the day before, USM wrote that the Ukrainian ING Bank restructured the loan to Nibulon for $10 million.
