At dawn on October 2, the invaders attacked the Izmail district of Odesa with drones. Oleh Kiper, the head of Odesa Regional Military Administration, announced this.

According to the official, the target of the Russians was the port infrastructure of the Danube. The impact caused a fire, which was quickly extinguished by firefighters of the State Emergency Service.

Two truck drivers were injured. One of them is a citizen of Turkey. Now the victims are in the hospital, they are being provided with all the necessary assistance.

“Due to shelling at the Orlivka checkpoint, transit operations have been temporarily suspended until 11:00 a.m. Currently, measures are being taken to stabilize its functioning. The Russians deliberately fired at the checkpoint, making it difficult for ordinary people to cross the border. This is terror against the civilian population,” Kiper added.

The day before, USM wrote that the Navy of the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 30 watercraft of the invaders over the past month.
