Freight rates from Danube ports have decreased
In November, freight rates were negatively affected by a decrease in agricultural exports.

The decrease in agricultural crop exports in November negatively affected freight rates, especially for deliveries via Danube ports to Mediterranean regions such as Spain.
At the same time, according to analysts, the cost of delivery to the port of Mersin increased by $ 2. Tariffs to the port of Constanta remain at a low level. The cost of delivering wheat from deep-water ports to Spain increased slightly – by $ 2, and to Egypt and the east coast of Italy remained unchanged.
Market rates for transportation from river ports:
• Izmail – Romania (1-3 thousand tons) – € 10
• Izmail – east. coast of Italy (5-7 thousand tons) – $34-36
• Izmail – Turkey (5-6 thousand tons) – $28
Market rates for transportation from seaports:
• Chornomorsk – Egypt (10 thousand tons) – $22-26
• Chornomorsk – east coast of Italy (30-35 thousand tons) – $22-24
• Chornomorsk – east coast of Spain (25-30 thousand tons) – $26-28.
As previously reported by USM, the ports of Ukraine are recording a steady growth in cargo turnover. In October 2024, 8 million tons of cargo passed through the seaports of Ukraine, which is 60% more than last year.
