Freight rates in the ports of Odesa region have decreased
As of November 27, freight rates from both the Danube and Odesa ports have decreased.
This was reported by analysts at Spike Brokers.
Low trading activity and a large amount of free tonnage led to a decrease in freight rates from Danube ports by an average of $1-3/t.
Rates for transportation from deep-sea Odesa ports to the eastern coast of Italy and the Spanish Mediterranean decreased by $1/t. Freight for delivery to the southern coast of China and Vietnam remained at the previous week’s level. The cost of barges in the direction of Constanta remains at the lowest level.
Market rates for transportation from river ports:
• Izmail – Romania (1-3 thousand tons) – €9-10
• Izmail – east. coast of Italy (5-7 thousand tons) – $30-31
• Izmail – Turkey (5-6 thousand tons) – $26
Market rates for transportation from seaports:
• Chornomorsk – Egypt (10 thousand tons) – $20-24
• Chornomorsk – east coast of Italy (30-35 thousand tons) – $20-21
• Chornomorsk – east coast of Spain (25-30 thousand tons) – $23-26.
