Kernel invested over $20 million in its own fleet
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Kernel agroholding has invested in terminal infrastructure for cargo transshipment, as well as in a fleet to ensure supply chains.
This was stated by Михайло Кравченко Mykhailo Kravchenko, Deputy Head of the Kernel Transshipment and Fleet Department, during the EBA Infrastructure Day 2024.
According to him, despite the challenges of wartime, Kernel continues to invest in the development and maintenance of operational efficiency. During this period, the company directed to key areas:
• $65 million — in terminal infrastructure for cargo transshipment;
• more than $20 million — in a fleet to ensure supply chains.
According to Mykhailo Kravchenko, today the market is facing such challenges as a shortage of personnel, increased transportation tariffs, and disruptions in terminal operations.
“We believe that partnership is the key to solving them. Kernel is the largest producer and exporter of sunflower oil in Ukraine, so we understand all the nuances of this business and are ready to share our experience and capabilities, in particular, our infrastructure, which covers three main ports: Reni, Chornomorsk and Pivdennyi,” Kravchenko noted. As previously reported by USM, Kernel has launched a new oil transshipment service in three ports of the Odesa region.
