Security guarantees in the Black Sea will affect the cost of fuel in Ukraine, says UPG owner

Due to increased safety for merchant ships in the Black Sea, the cost of fuel on the Ukrainian market may decrease.
This was stated by the owner of the UPG gas station chain, Volodymyr Petrenko, in an interview with LIGA.net.
According to him, the fuel market in Ukraine will completely change if the Black Sea is safe for shipping. In this case, the entrepreneur predicts a decrease in the volume of fuel supplied from the Polish direction by approximately 40%.
“I think this will reduce the cost of fuel in Ukraine by two to three UAH per liter,” Petrenko said.
In particular, from May 1, another factor reducing fuel prices will come into effect, as the law on the mandatory addition of bioethanol will come into effect.
As previously reported by USM, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Turkey may occupy a serious place in future guarantees for the security of the Black Sea.
