Ukraine and Sweden discussed strengthening the protection of the Black Sea

Commander of the Ukrainian Navy Oleksiy Neizhpapa and Swedish Defense Minister Paul Jonsson agreed to strengthen the Ukrainian fleet.
During the meeting, the Commander of the Ukrainian Navy Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa and Swedish Defense Minister Paul Jonsson обговорили discussed the security situation in the Black Sea-Azov region and further development of cooperation.

Neizhpapa informed his Swedish colleague about the results of the work of the Coalition of Maritime Capabilities of Ukraine and emphasized the importance of supporting allies. Special attention was paid to the boats transferred by Sweden – Ukrainian sailors demonstrated their maneuverability, technical equipment and effectiveness in real combat conditions.

“Sweden remains one of our reliable partners in strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities,” Neizhpapa noted, thanking Jonsson for his resolute support.

Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Kozenko also took part in the meeting. After the talks, the parties honored the memory of the soldiers who died in battles with the Russian invaders.

Also, the day before, USM wrote that Ukrainian drones had hit the port of Ust-Luga in Russia.
