The Ukrainian Navy has revealed the details of the explosion of a ship off the coast of Odesa

The examination of the explosion of a civilian ship in the Black Sea off the coast of Odesa on August 31 is ongoing.

Most likely, the cause of the explosion was not a sea mine, the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk, said on the air of the telethon.

“Most likely, it was not a sea mine, because the consequences should have been completely different. The hull remained undamaged, none of the crew members were injured,” Pletenchuk said.

He added that the relevant examination will determine what exactly caused the explosion.

According to media reports, this is the NS PRIDE vessel under the Belizean flag. It is also assumed that part of the Russian UAV shot down the day before could have detonated under the bulk carrier.

Recall, on August 31, a civilian ship exploded near the port of Chornomorsk with an unidentified explosive device.
