After the attack on the port and the Navy ship in Izmail, ways to improve security were discussed

The Izmail Regional State Administration held a meeting with representatives of the management of port operators, SE “USPA”, law enforcement agencies and rescue services.

The meeting was held on Thursday, September 4, the  Izmail District State Administration reports.

The purpose of the meeting was to find ways to implement measures to ensure the safety of vessels in the water area of ​​the Danube ports, and in particular during the announcement of an air alert.

Following the meeting, a corresponding protocol was drawn up, which spells out the algorithm of actions of all involved services and organizations in the event of a threat of an air attack on the port infrastructure and operators operating in its water area.

We will remind you that on August 28, at the mouth of the Danube, the Russians attacked the Ukrainian Navy reconnaissance ship “Simferopol”. Also, on the night of September 2, the infrastructure of the Izmail seaport was attacked by Russian drones.
