Ukrainian naval drones attacked the port of Novorossiysk

On the night of September 10, explosions and sirens rang out in Novorossiysk, a key logistics and military hub of the Russian Federation.

Local residents reported that mobile communications were jammed during the attack on the port, but videos of the explosions spread on social networks. This is reported by Telegraf.

Novorossiysk is of strategic importance for the Kremlin. After numerous Ukrainian attacks on Sevastopol, this port became the main base for the Russian Black Sea Fleet. In addition, it is one of the largest commercial ports on the Black Sea: the lion’s share of Russian oil and grain exports pass through it.

Attacks on Novorossiysk have a double effect – they undermine Russian military logistics in southern Ukraine and strike at Moscow’s economic interests. The port is used both to supply Russian troops and to provide access to Russian energy sources on world markets.
