Pseudo-leader of the “DPR” and top manager of the port of Mariupol suspected of stealing Ukrainian metal


The pseudo-leader of the “Donetsk People’s Republic” and the top manager of the Mariupol port have been suspected of illegally exporting Ukrainian metal.

This was reported by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the leader of the fake republic “DPR” organized the illegal seizure of metal from the Mariupol seaport worth almost 740 million hryvnias.

The export of metal for the needs of the Russian army was facilitated by the first deputy director of the port.

In total, on April 11, prosecutors of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, together with investigators from the SBU, the State Bureau of Investigation and the National Politburo, reported suspicion to 77 traitors and collaborators who voluntarily agreed to cooperate with the occupiers.

The deputy director of the port of Mariupol and other collaborators were charged with encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, participation in a terrorist organization, high treason, collaboration, information support and aiding the aggressor state, war crime, and justification of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

Earlier, the USM reported that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for sanctions against the Russian Federation for using the ports of Mariupol and Berdyansk.
