The Kernel Terminal in the Port of Chornomorsk will be restored this month

Kernel plans to complete the restoration of the Transbalk Terminal in Chornomorsk, which was damaged as a result of the Russian attack in 2023, in October of this year.
This is stated in the agroholding’s report for FY 2025, writes Latifundist.
It is noted that after commissioning, the terminal’s throughput capacity will be fully restored to the pre-war level – 10 million tons per year.
In total, $11 million has already been invested in the reconstruction in the 2025 fiscal year, and the facility is scheduled to be commissioned in October 2025. The total investment in the project is expected to be $19 million.
Recall that Russian troops seriously damaged the terminal on August 19, 2023, when they struck warehouses, receiving infrastructure, loading equipment, etc. with missiles. As a result of the attack, storage capacity decreased by 136 thousand tons, and annual transshipment capacity decreased by 2 million tons.
It was also initially planned that Transbalkterminal could reach full capacity by the end of 2024, but the reconstruction took almost the entire year of 2025.
