USDA increases global wheat harvest forecast


Despite the increase in the forecast for the world, the forecast for the harvest and export of wheat in Ukraine remained unchanged.

Thus, USDA analysts increased the forecast for world wheat production in the 2025/26 MY to 828.89 million tons, which is 12.69 million tons more than the previous forecast in September.

In general, world wheat exports are estimated at 217.21 million tons (+2.49 million tons), the forecast for ending stocks was increased to 271.43 million tons (+7.37 million tons). In contrast, the forecast for the wheat harvest in Ukraine remains at 23 million tons, exports — 15 million tons, ending stocks — 1.93 million tons.

For the USA, the estimate of wheat production was increased to 54.01 million tons (+1.56 million tons), exports – 24.49 million tons, ending stocks – 24.52 million tons (+1.56 million tons).

In the EU, the yield forecast is at 142.3 million tons (+2.2 million tons), and exports – 33 million tons (+0.5 million tons).

Earlier it became known that a Ukrainian exporter is suing an Egyptian state buyer due to a disrupted supply.
