A drone attack in the oil tanker port of Rostov-on-Don caused the Valeryi Gorchakov, a ship of the so-called shadow fleet, to catch fire.

On the evening of December 18, a group of drones attacked a number of cities in the south of the Russian Federation. A UAV hit a tanker near the pier in the Western Residential Complex (ZZHM), causing a fire, Ukrinform writes.

According to Russian officials, two crew members were killed and three more were injured. Local Telegram channels claim that the Valery Gorchakov tanker could have been hit.

Reference: The Valery Gorchakov was built in 1969 as a dry cargo ship and in 2004 was converted into an oil tanker for transporting all types of oil products.

Also, the day before, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy commented on the strike on the submarine in Novorossiysk.
