France intercepts another tanker of the Russian shadow fleet

The French Navy has detained another Russian shadow fleet tanker in the Mediterranean Sea.
French President Emmanuel Macron announced this on the social network X.
According to him, on the morning of Friday, March 20, the French fleet intercepted and detained another shadow fleet vessel in the Mediterranean Sea – the sanctioned Russian tanker Deyna.
“A war involving Iran will not deter France from its support for Ukraine, where Russia continues to wage an aggressive war without interruption. These vessels, which evade international sanctions and violate maritime law, profit from the war. They line their pockets while helping to finance Russia’s military efforts,” Emmanuel Macron wrote.
It should be noted that sanctions against the Deyna vessel were applied in the United States, the EU, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, as well as Canada and Ukraine.
Earlier, Sweden detained a second Russian sanctioned tanker.
