The annual crew changeover at the Akademik Vernadskyi station has been completed. The scientific vessel Noosfera will deliver members of the 30th UAE to a port in Chile.
The 31st Ukrainian Antarctic Expedition has already begun work at the station, the National Antarctic Science Center reports.
“At the same time, the 30th UAE has set off home. A long journey awaits the polar explorers and polar explorers. The thirtieth expedition worked at Vernadskyi for a year. Its participants carried out research in three main areas: geophysics, meteorology, biology, and also supported the operation of the station,” the National Antarctic Science Center said.
First, the vessel Noosphere will deliver them to the port of Punta Arenas in Chile. From there, the team will fly to Poland, and then to Ukraine by bus.

We will remind you that in early March, the icebreaker Noosphere delivered polar explorers from the Chilean port to Vernadsky. The entire journey took three and a half days.
