Iron ore exports from Ukraine decreased by 33.9%

The mining industry of Ukraine, according to the results of January-March 2026, reduced iron ore exports by 33.9% – to 5.61 million tons.
According to GMK Center,the largest consumer of Ukrainian iron ore is traditionally China. During the specified period, shipments of raw materials in this direction amounted to 2.56 million tons (-43.9%).
966.82 thousand tons (-16.8%) were sent to Slovakia, and 751.57 thousand tons (-35%) to Poland.
In March, Ukraine exported 2.3 million tons of iron ore, which is 20.6% less compared to March 2025. 1.23 million tons of raw materials were sent to China, 323.26 thousand tons to Slovakia, and 302.17 thousand tons to Poland.
Revenue from exports of air defense systems in March amounted to $177.29 million, and for January-March – $437.42 million.
Earlier, USM said that Ukrainian ports are being reorganized into partnerships instead of state-owned enterprises.
